Back to Basics

Long before design software entered the process, there was the sketchbook — a place to explore ideas, solve visual problems, and refine details through repetition. That way of working still shapes everything I do.

My background in painting and illustration taught me to think in terms of balance, rhythm, and composition, and those principles carry through to my digital work today. The computer is an essential part of the workflow, but it’s the creative thinking behind it — the ability to develop and sketch an idea — that gives design its authenticity and character.
